Intro to Pickleball Class - 1.5 Hours - $45 per person
This 1.5 hour intro to Pickleball class is meant for new players looking to learn this exciting game. We will get you playing points while learning how to score (most of the class is playing and learning while you play). This class is NOT for people that have played more than 10 times and are comfortable with the rules and scoring. Please only sign up if you are completely new or have played a handful of times and want to learn the rules/scoring better.

Pickleball is most widely played in the doubles format (2 on 2). So we will focus on learning the scoring, rules and basic positioning/strategy for doubles. I have plenty of paddles for you to borrow and use (a lot of them are from the paddle list in the following paddle link). Or you can buy your own before class. This is my thoughts on paddles: https://www.calvinkeeney.com/what-pickleball-paddle-should-i-buy-first/

What to bring?

A good pair of court shoes are helpful (tennis or pickleball court shoes are best). A water bottle is also helpful and a paddle if you have one (feel free to try out some of mine as well.)

Can I retake the class?

Yes you may retake the class if you want to become more comfortable before playing in a social setting.

How to Hit the Pickleball Class - 1.5 Hours - $50 per person
This 1.5 hour hitting the Pickleball class assumes that you know the basic rules and scoring of Pickleball. If you don't, then sign up for my "Intro to Pickleball Class" instead.

If your goal when playing Pickleball is "to get the ball over the net". Then this is the class for you. I will give you advice for footwork, grip, technique and ready position to help you hit the ball more consistently. (This is NOT a class for 3.0 and above players. This is for 2.5 and below level of players whose goal is to simply hit the ball.)

IMPORTANT: Class Pre Requisites

You know how to keep score and the basic rules of Pickleball.

Demo Paddles Available to Test During Class

You will also have access to demo some of the top paddles in the game. Feel free to try out some of the following paddles listed here in my blog post: https://www.calvinkeeney.com/what-pickleball-paddle-should-i-buy-first/. I will bring them to class and you can test out a few for fun while we learn.

Can I retake the class?

Yes you may retake the class if you want to become more comfortable with the class material. This class is my most repeated class because we learn a lot of tips in the class. And it's normal for muscle memory to take awhile when learning something complex such as hitting a ball with a paddle :)

How to Drill for Pickleball - 1.5 Hours - $45 per person
This 1.5 hour class is for people wanting to learn how to efficiently hone their Pickleball skills through drilling.

I will be walking you through the drills and reasoning behind the drills that I've done to get to the 5.0 level.

While this class will have A LOT of drilling time in it, the main goal is to show you many types of drills for you to do on your own or with a friend (Possibly someone you meet in class!) With that in mind, we won't spend a long time on any particular drill, but give you an arsenal of drills to hand pick from to practice for your given needs.

I will have plenty of demo paddles for you to test out as well if you want to try other paddles.

You can look forward to meeting other dedicated players willing to put in the time and effort to drill and improve your game together.

Drop Shot Class - 1.5 Hours - $50 per person
Learn how to hit one of Pickleball's most important shots in this 1.5 hour class! The Drop Shot.

The drop shot is used when you are not at the Kitchen while your opponents are. We will work on hitting this drop shot which is used as a way to help you and your partner safely get to the kitchen.

We will practice how to hit the drop shot while also discussing when and why you would hit this shot in a game.

Learning the Drop Shot is a very important tool to have in your toolbelt for helping you and your partner safely get to the kitchen as the serving team which will help you win more points!

I will also have plenty of demo paddles for you to use or test out.
